The trees that fall under the group of palissanders deliver beautiful and precious tropical kinds of wood that are wanted all over the world for their appearance.
In the first instance palissander was only the wood from Dalbergia nigra in Brazil, therefore the name Brazilian rosewood is the most used name. Another well-known rosewood is the wood from Dalbergia litifolia, called Indian or Java palissander.
