Wood imitations - Oak

Oak is one of the most familiar kinds of wood. It has been used for centuries for several applications because of its strength, toughness, hardness and flexibility. The colours range from light to dark brown and when quarter sawn the radial section gives quartered oak with its typical ray flakes.
Most suitable for imitating is the European oak and in particular the one from Slavonia. This is the traditional oak of which the classic oak furniture and statues were made.
