Marble imitations - Sarrancolin

The quarries in the community Sarrancolin in the High Pyrenees deliver several related marbles that all fall under the name sarrancolin.
Sarrancolin is often mentioned as the king of marbles and the marble of kings. It owes this statement to:
1. Its great richness of colours and the red flamed-motives
2. during the reign of Louis XIV the quarries experienced such glory days that as of 1692 they were considered royal.
Therefore sarrancolin can be found in the most beautiful staterooms of Versailles.
Around the sarrancolin there’s a frame of Château Landon from France.
